HAPPY NEW YEAR

Wishing you all had a great Christmas, where Santa brought you all your gaming joys and a New Year Filled with 6s and no 1s.

I started this blog in the effort to get me to play with my plastic men and in part it has succeeded. Now for my gaming resolution will be to actually get my stuff all painted up. Here’s hoping anyway.

Western Warriors Dystopian Wars Club Challenge

Western Warriors had their first Dystopian Wars Club Day, with 14 gamers turning up for a day of Dystopian War Gaming.

I got to play with my EoTBs vs Prussians and a CoA Fleet. One game I was totally smashed by the dual Dreadnoughts of the Prussians and the second game was a narrow win due to the fact I managed to prize two flyers and his Carrier.

Over all was a good day go gaming.

EoBTs vs Prussian

Both Fleets eye off against each other, I was dreading the Dreadnoughts, as I didn’t believe I had enough hitting power to get through the Amour and the Shields. And I was right.

Turn one movements, Bill hangs back and brings on the pain while my Squids and the Gyros try and brave the fire.

Photobucket
The hail of fire sees one of my Squids receiving a critical hit and heading to the bottom of the ocean, even though he needed 6s to hit the amount of dice he was rolling was just insane. Even still I stuck to my plan and tried to get closer with my fleet.

Next Bill turned his attention to my Battleship that managed to do 2 Hull Points of damage to his Dreadnought, suffice to say that two Dreadies shoot at my Battleship was one sunk Battleship.

Photobucket
ALL IN!!! This was the all or nothing moment in the game, I threw the Gyros, Fighter Bombers and the Squid in an attempt to take out a Dread.

Photobucket
Which resulted me losing all those units, but I did have some vengeance with my cruisers dealing with the Prussian Scouts.

My Destoryers turning tail and fleeing from the might of the Prussian Dreadnoughts.

These where the Kings of the Sea, at the end they even destroyed the cruiser squadron.

My EoTB Fleet.

Having learnt to fear the mass firepower of the battleships and dreadnought I deployed and ran my cruisers and battleship away from the masses of guns.

Photobucket
Got to say I have never faced off a CoA fleet before, and the dang submerging battleship is annoying as heck.

Photobucket
This time I tried to preserve the bulk of my fleet and attempted to pick on Chris’ Flyers and Carrier.

Photobucket
A good round of shooting resulted in the Carrier’s and a Flyer’s defenses being Shredded and the Cruisers boarding both of the Flyers.

The Crusier steam on to board and capture the Carrier as well.
